We spend Tuesday night in a hotel in CA so we can plan some place to go tomorrow and get an early start. How times have changed, when we left FL in March we had every stop planned and reserved. Now we land in California with no plans or reservations. So we search and find a place for tomorrow which is about 2 hours away it is a 17 thousand acre park at Folsom Lake and get a reservation at a place in Lake Tahoe on the lake for memorial day weekend (we planed ahead thinking this weekend might be a little busy). While Folsom Lake will not take a reservation at this late date but we are confident that we will find a spot. After some quick grocery shopping we get to the RV by 9:30 am. The solar panel could not keep up and the refrigerator is no longer working (fortunately there is still ice in the frig so we assume it hasn’t been off for long). Now the RV batteries are so dead that it takes the truck a while to get them charged up enough to even use the tongue jack so we can hook up to the trailer hitch to the truck. The drive to Folsom is uneventful and we get a site with full hook ups right near a large beach Ahhhh. The jack rabbits here are huge and everywhere. There are lots of wild flowers as yo can see in the pictures. Dinner is all the food we pulled from the freezer and a bottle of champagne. Tomorrow we plan on spending a day at the beach after a couple hours of work before we head to Lake Tahoe for the weekend.
