May 15 Millerton SRA CA

This morning was occupied with work and chores. Rick enjoys the sunrise at the edge of the lake as he catches up with some friend and family phone calls before breakfast. After breakfast while Susan cleans up the RV Rick gets propane and makes arrangements to get the stabilizing load leveling hitch realigned after its many bumpy encounters with the potholes and lumps in the road during the past couple days. We also decide to just stay put and enjoy the full hook up camp site as we get the RV ready to sit in storage for a week. It is a relaxing afternoon highlighted by reading and watching wild life. We actually see a golden eagle a couple of times as he soars around our camp site. We finally take some time to review the pictures from the last couple days and are thrilled they came out so well but still a little frustrated that they don’t convey the true majesty of the places. After such a lazy afternoon we scrap our plan to drive to town for dinner and just make a salad and cook up some shrimp for dinner. We play cards (Susan wins-I love being the editor of Rick’s blogs) while listening to music before we watch a movie and head to bed. Tomorrow we need to have the RV to the repair center (about 1/2 hour drive away) by 830 am. After that we are planning a hike in search of the mountain lions.
